Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Distance: 30 km to 50 km Non–game viewing time: 2 hours We will pick you up from your hotel, and after familiarising yourself with the guide, chef, and other clients on the tour, we will drive to Tarangire National Park (2-hour drive), famous for its diverse landscapes. The park is mainly known for its abundance of ancient baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country. It provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. We will do a game drive through the park, depending on where they have reported sightings of animals. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards are harder to spot, but giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras are plentiful throughout the park. Later, we will go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and animals while having lunch. Keep an eye out for small monkeys and baboons trying to scare you off your lunch, but they are harmless, and you have nothing to worry about.
