Nestled near the Sangaiwe Gate of Tarangire National Park, Tarangire Simba Lodge offers an unparalleled safari experience in a wildlife-rich area. The lodge opened in July 2015 and features 24 classic safari tents under thatched roofs, offering a unique blend of luxury and nature. Wildlife sightings are frequent, with resident lions, zebras, bushbucks, impalas, porcupines, monkeys, warthogs, and mongoose, while elephants, buffalo, ostriches, and giraffes often pass through the area. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by the diverse and vibrant avian species.

Beyond offering an exceptional safari retreat, Tarangire Simba Lodge plays a crucial role in conservation efforts, serving as a buffer between the park and nearby villages. We work closely with local rangers to protect wildlife and minimize human-wildlife conflicts.

Wildlife Encounters Right From Your Room

During the dry season, large herds of elephants, giraffes, waterbucks, and zebras gather at the small waterhole in front of the lodge. Lucky guests can enjoy wildlife viewing directly from their private verandas or our elevated viewing platform near the pool.

Guests can enter, exit, and re-enter the park effortlessly through Sangaiwe Gate, ensuring an uninterrupted safari experience.

🍽 Lunch: A mix of quiche, pizza, salads, spaghetti, or curries. Guests on game drives receive specially crafted lunch boxes, which we take great care in preparing to be unique and enjoyable.

🍽 Dinner: A four-course buffet featuring:

• Two main courses that rotate between fish, beef, pork, lamb, and chicken
• Vegetarian and vegan options available with prior notice
