Day 1: Dar-Es-Salaam – Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park)

After breakfast pick up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive to Selous game reserve, the biggest game reserve in Africa, which is now called Nyerere National Park, arrival for lunch, followed by afternoon game drive or boat excursions on the Rufiji River.

Dinner and overnight at Kiba Point or Sand Rivers.

Day 2 & 3: Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park) – Full Day

After breakfast begins with the most exciting experience the Selous has to offer. A walking safari which is accompanied by an armed range for approx. 1 to 2 hrs. This allows you to get a real feel of the African bush and allows you to see much more, especially birds, insects and vegetation. Return to the camp by vehicle. Lunch at the Camp. After lunch explore the Selous further by game driving in the Selous. Dinner and overnight at Kiba Point or Sand Rivers.

Day 4: Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park) Full Day Again

You enjoy two game drives today, one in the morning at 6.15am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch. As your safari is private your game drive timings are flexible, useful if you are travelling with children, or are on a honeymoon. You may also choose to have a full day game drive [one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return to your lodge by evening.

Dinner and overnight at Kiba Point or Sand Rivers.

Day 5: Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park) – Dar-Es-Salaam

At the break of dawn you embark on your concluding game drive in Nyerere National Park followed by a relaxed breakfast and onward departure for Dar es Salaam. Arrive Dar es Salaam by early afternoon [typically by 3pm].

Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.
