Arrival in Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha.

Optional pre-safari accommodation is available at an additional cost.

Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania. After your airport transfer, settle into your lodge and unwind from your journey.

Arusha is the gateway to Northern Tanzania’s safari circuit—a vibrant city where modern comforts meet authentic local culture. It’s the perfect place to relax before your adventure begins.

Day 2 – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Enjoy a game drive through lush forests, open plains, and lakeshore habitats. Look out for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and the famous tree-climbing lions. The lake attracts thousands of flamingos and diverse birdlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to your lodge in Mto wa Mbu.

Day 3 – Serengeti National Park

Travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the iconic Serengeti National Park.

Arrive in the southern plains and begin your first game drive across the vast Serengeti ecosystem, home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, and large herds of grazing animals.

Day 4 – Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, journey north through the Serengeti with game viewing along the way.

The Northern Serengeti is best known for the Great Migration, where massive herds of wildebeest and zebra move in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the season, you may witness this extraordinary wildlife spectacle.

Day 5 – Mara River Experience

Spend a full day exploring the Northern Serengeti.

This region offers the chance to witness dramatic Mara River crossings, where wildebeest and zebra face strong currents and lurking crocodiles. Predators such as lions and hyenas are often nearby, creating one of Africa’s most thrilling wildlife experiences.

Day 6 – Central Serengeti

Return to Central Serengeti with a game drive en route.

This area offers year-round wildlife viewing, including big cats and large herds. Each drive reveals new encounters across the endless plains.

Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater

Drive through the Serengeti and descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater.

This natural wonder is home to one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa, including the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a game drive on the crater floor surrounded by dramatic landscapes and abundant animals.

Later, continue to your lodge near Mto wa Mbu.

Day 8 – Tarangire National Park & Departure

On your final day, visit Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.

Enjoy a morning game drive along the Tarangire River, a vital water source attracting diverse wildlife. After a picnic lunch, return to Arusha or transfer to the airport for your departure.
