This safari starts in Arusha and ends in Zanzibar, the 12 days tour will help you explore the main 3 national parks of Tanzania with Ngorongoro Crater which is the 8th wonder of the world and Zanzibar as well for beach holiday.
You will definitely get chance to visit Tarangire National Park and Serengeti National Park. You will view lots of wildlife species found in these national parks and the great annual migration of Wildebeest into the Ndutu area.
The other common animals to spot in these national parks include lions, zebras, warthogs, antelopes, birds, flamingos, and many more. These national parks will give you the best safari ever in Tanzania!
Meet and greet on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport with the driver and transfer to Moshono Hillside Hotel for Hot lunch (depend on your arrival time) after lunch you will have chance to walk around the city for a short time.
After walking you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we head to the Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.
Dinner and overnight (Farm of Dreams Lodge)
After breakfast we will drive to Ndutu, you will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Ngorongoro) where you will notice the landscape changing from hilly forests to plain and green grasslands. Once you reach Ndutu you will begin a half day game drive with a convenient stop for your picnic lunch. Sweeping grasslands cover the region which gradually fade into the Serengeti. Ndutu forms a part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, antelopes and gazelles through the Serengeti eco system. During game drives between December and April, you will be able to see the great migration in this region. Between Mid Jan and Feb, calving happens here and it attracts hordes of predators prying on vulnerable young wildebeest. Crested with Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, these waterholes offer plenty of wildlife game during the dry season. The Ndutu is also the home ground for 6 species of big cats – leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, serval and wildcat. The action-packed game drive will end late in the evening by around 6PM.
You will now head towards Kon tiki Ndutu Camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch and afternoon game drive in this park with immense herds of herbivore, wildebeests, gazelles and Zebras followed by predators on their annual migration to permanent water holes, offering a timeless spectacle unequaled in the world.
Dinner and overnight at (Kon tiki Tented Camp)
We have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich.
We return to (Kon tiki Tented Camp) for dinner and overnight.
Today the safari adventure turns south and continues to the Ngorongoro conservation area (world UNESCO site and was once in the 7 wonders of the world) (6 hrs., 180 km). We will descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
Dinner and overnight at the (Farm Of Dreams Lodge)
After breakfast we go for cultural tour in Mto Wa Mbu for full day. The bustling farming community of Mto Wa Mbu, located between Manyara and Ngorongoro, is home to around 18,000 people. Spend full a day here with a knowledgeable local guide and you’ll discover a side of Tanzania that many visitors miss. Your guide is likely to be from the village itself so you will have an opportunity to see the community through the guide’s eyes. During your visit you’ll get a good feel for the social side of the village – the farms and the milling machines, the schools, markets and churches. Tours last around 5–8 hours but are flexible. You may do some (or all!) of the following: You will probably start in the village banana plantation, where the community grows more than 30 different varieties of bananas. As well as finding out how this staple fruit is grown, you’ll hear about the different uses of the plant, from food to materials for building and art. You may visit a local ‘bar’ to try mbege, the traditional banana and millet beer that is brewed and drunk mainly by the Chagga tribe. The process of making this brew is quite labor intensive, and the beer is usually served in one large cup, which is passed around the group, and refilled as needed. Your tour will probably finish in the bustling local market, where you can wander around stalls selling fruit and vegetables stalls, spices and meat. Your guide will stop and explain points of interest and give you the opportunity to try and smell a variety of local food to Mama Africa catering.
Dinner and overnight at Moshono Hillside Hotel
After breakfast you will drive to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Prior to landing you will notice that the crystal-clear waters of the Zanzibar beaches truly exist. Our driver will collect you from the airport and transport you to the hotel in Jambiani. Jambiani is one of the most remote beaches of Zanzibar, located in the southeast of the island. It is a not crowded, quiet and calm beach, with underdeveloped infrastructure. One could simply meander through the winding alleys, bustling bazaars and mosques for countless hours. There is an optional Historical Stone Town tour that will guide you through centuries of culture. This tour captures the essence of Zanzibar by visiting iconic landmarks including but not limited to – the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace), Dr Livingston’s house and the Arab Fort. We will also explore the market, mosques and Cathedrals. There is enough time to analyze the hand carved wooden doors. In the evening there are two options for dinner. You can dine at the hotel, or we have something for the foodies. You can tantalize your taste buds with flavor of some local cuisines or enjoy the fresh seafood at the food market, Forodhani Garden.
Overnight at (Kendwa Rock Hotel)
There will be an optional spice tour in the morning for those who can resist sleeping in and after midday we will make our way to Kendwa to explore the finest Zanzibar beaches. Kendwa’s beaches feature golden sand with shimmering water that reflects the clear skies and white foam that will tickle your toes.
After enjoying the tour, you will come back to Jambiani beach for dinner and overnight at (Kendwa Rock Hotel)
In the morning there is an optional visit to the Tortoise Island after which we will take you back to the hotel to enjoy the Zanzibar beaches. There are numerous water sports and activities on offer including snorkeling, volleyball, boat trips, scuba diving and more. There is of course the option to relax on the beach and sip on an exotic drink whilst you lounge in the sun.
Overnight at (Kendwa Rock Hotel)
After you have enjoyed a delicious breakfast, we will provide transportation to Zanzibar International airport where you will connect your flight. It has been such a nice a trip and you will have a lot of pictures and stories to share with your friend back home.
